Strephonota sphinx, Calderón ; these butterflies look like neotype "dyndimus" but are very different from the original type Sithon sphinx.
according to Louis Diringer (pers. com.) the Strephonota sphinx type illustrated on BoA is probably a misidentification ? we may even question the validity of this species. it is certainly safer to refer to Strephonata dindymus.
